W Hamilton Building
Architectural Building Signage
W Hamilton required premium building signage for their new premises, with a focus on creating a refined and understated result that complemented the architecture of the building.
The project centred around dimensional aluminium lettering mounted to ACM backing panels, designed to create depth and visual interest without relying on oversized or visually dominant signage.
Our Approach
From the beginning, the client wanted signage that felt premium and architectural rather than loud or overly commercial. We explored multiple material and installation options before settling on powdercoated aluminium lettering mounted to ACM backing panels. This approach helped conceal existing cladding damage while also allowing the signage to be assembled accurately within the workshop prior to installation.
Careful attention was given to:
- scale and proportion
- negative space
- material finishes
- lighting interaction
- installation practicality
Multiple scaled mockups were developed to refine the final proportions and ensure the signage suited both the building and the client’s branding.

The Result
